The South African daily deal company CitySlicker has closed its series A financing round with estag Capital AG from Germany.The company intends to use the funds, whose amount remains undisclosed, to accelerate its geographical expansion across South Africa and to pursue strategic partnerships.

�This financing round will enable us to accelerate our presence in all major South African cities. CitySlicker is an Internet marketing company proposing discounted deals to consumers on a targeted-community basis via e-mail and social media channels. CitySlicker offers consumers discounts of 50%-90% off lifestyle products, services and attractions. The CitySlicker.co.za website was officially launched in April 2011 in Cape Town. Since then, the service�s popularity grew exponentially in its home-town before being expanded to Johannesburg in October 2011.
